Melissa Mathews is currently President for the MS Society, Utah-Southern Idaho Chapter, where she oversees all administrative and operational functions for the chapter. She has 18 years of experience in the nonprofit sector and has a broad range of experience blending both of her backgrounds in public relations and fundraising and bringing knowledge from Girl Scout Councils in Utah, Chicago and Atlanta, the Utah Symphony | Utah Opera and the American Cancer Society. Melissa received her Bachelor of Science in Communications with an emphasis in Broadcasting and her minor in English from Weber State University. She serves as President of the Association of Fundraising Professionals, Utah Chapter and Vice-Chair of the Business Women’s Forum of the Salt Lake Chamber’s Women’s Business Center.
Melissa spends much of her “off time” with her husband and three children ranging in age from 5 to 14. Hobby time consists of her rowing machine, hiking, cooking, watching football (Da Bears) and playing “Just Dance” on the Wii. She also enjoys dinner with friends, boating and her book club.
