Nathan Clark joined AFP Utah in 2016 wanting to give back to a profession that has given so much to him. He is a passionate mentor, teacher, and lecturer on fundraising and purposeful philanthropy. Nathan brings more than 18 years of leadership experience in fundraising, marketing, communications, and management from past career work in both the private and public sectors. He works at United Way of Salt Lake as Vice President of Individual and Planned Giving and is the founder and CEO of Synnovate Group, a marketing and fundraising consulting company. Prior to this, Nathan worked as a Sr. Development Director at Weber State University and as the Marketing and Media Relations Director for the National Center on Shaken Baby Syndrome advocating for child abuse prevention in the US and Canada.
Nathan truly enjoys building purposeful relationships with industry leaders, philanthropists, and visionaries who invest in education and social programs supporting children and families. He has a bachelor’s degree in Public Relations and an MBA from Weber State University. He loves everything about the outdoors and enjoys playing sports, particularly basketball, softball and golf. Nathan and his wife enjoy family time at home with their two children.
