Lisa Arnette is a seasoned nonprofit professional having worked for 25 years in institutional advancement. After graduating from the University of Utah with a B.S. in Speech Communication in 1985 and the University of Texas at Austin with a M.A. in Organizational Communication in 1987, Lisa accepted her first position at a nonprofit institution and never looked back. After working for a decade at organizations in Nevada and Oregon, she returned to Utah in 1999. Lisa is deeply committed to the nonprofit sector and has worked across varying disciplines including public television and radio, higher education, museum administration, secondary education advancement, and international maternal health. Her decades of experience include grant writing, managing annual and major giving programs, conducting capital campaigns, overseeing special events, guiding leadership volunteer programs and nonprofit boards, and supervising marketing and public relations efforts.
Lisa presents at local and national conferences on topics ranging from annual and major giving to grant writing, leads seminars for the Utah Nonprofits Association, and is an Instructor for the University of Utah's Nonprofit Academy.
