The Development Coordinator will support the implementation of a strategic fundraising plan for Tracy Aviary. This person will assist the Development & Marketing Director in planning, organizing and writing grants. They will help in the search for major gifts, the planning of annual and capital campaigns. Additionally, they will support and seek sponsorship of special aviary-wide programs and events. This position will also provide oversight of the membership program.
Primary responsibilities include:
Job Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, Public Relations, English, or equivalency; extremely organized problem solver, three years’ experience in fund-raising, sales, business, public relations, annual corporate or foundation giving which includes two years of budgeting and supervisory experience. Demonstrated human relations and effective communication skills required. Experience in grant or proposal writing, public speaking, an understanding of fund-raising best practices is preferred.
