Programming
The Programming Committee is responsible for planning educational programs for fundraising professionals throughout the year. Committee members plan and execute engaging programs (virtually or in-person) that benefit fundraisers in all phases of their careers.
Membership
The Membership Committee is responsible for both recruitment and retention of our AFP Utah Chapter members. The Membership committee also plans a series of events to serve as a resource for our members and provide educational and networking opportunities for the greater fundraising community.
Conference
The Conference Committee plans and executes the annual conference, which rotates themes bi-annually. Committee members are responsible for the content, speakers, location, date and time. They also work closely with other committees to ensure a successful event.
Communications
The Communications Committee is responsible for all chapter communications to members and non-members by email and social media. Committee members promote chapter events and news through MailChimp email campaigns, social media promotions, and direct emails to members.
Underwriting
The Underwriting Committee solicits financial support from local organizations to fund the Chapter’s professional education and networking efforts. Committee members are responsible for the outreach, communication, and execution of these sponsorships.
IDEA
The IDEA Committee ensures that the AFP Utah Chapter prioritizes inclusion, diversity, equity, and accessibility throughout the year. Committee members are committed to advancing these values at our organization, our professions, the organizations where our members work, and in our work with individuals.
Awards, Honors, and Scholarships
The Awards, Honors, and Scholarships Committee is responsible for the variety of scholarship opportunities to fundraising professionals offered each year, including membership scholarships and professional development/training scholarships. Additionally, this committee is responsible for awards and honors distributed to recipients at chapter events.
Collegiate Chapter
The Collegiate Chapter Committee gives students the opportunity to network with the local chapter before joining their local chapters as a Young Professional. Committee members educate students about fundraising as a career and about philanthropy in general.
Advocacy
The Advocacy Committee meets with local government officials on issues that impact our organizations and charities. Committee members stay knowledgeable about state and local public policy issues and communicate with AFP Global when needed.
