Annual Membership Meeting: Insights from Donors

We are delighted to invite you to our Annual Membership Meeting on Tuesday, November 12. Join us at the University of Utah for a complimentary breakfast and special presentation, “Insights from Donors: Cultivating Meaningful Connections” by philanthropists Chelsey Curtis and Amanda Millerberg.

Members will hear from two donors as they share their perspectives on building meaningful relationships with organizations. Insights from Donors: Cultivating Meaningful Connections offers a unique opportunity to hear firsthand about what inspires donor support, fosters lasting partnerships, and enhances engagement. Whether you're involved in fundraising or looking to deepen your organization's connections, this event will provide valuable insights and practical strategies for cultivating strong, lasting donor relationships. Don’t miss this chance to learn from those who make a difference!

Amanda MillerbergMillerberg2021 IMG 0183 crop

Amanda Millerberg has a love for baked goods, British TV and helping others. After living in five states plus London, she, her husband and their five children have settled back in Salt Lake City and work together under their family mantra, “go about doing good”. She is a philanthropist focused on the three areas of self-reliance, social impact innovation, and strengthening families through supporting women and children.

Amanda is the director of philanthropy for the Millerberg Family Giving Fund. She chairs the “Show-Up” service initiative for Utah’s First Lady, a group focused on illuminating and increasing service throughout Utah. She is an active member of Maverick Collective by PSI which seeks to advance health and reproductive education throughout the world. She serves on a variety of boards and councils in Utah. Amanda is an active volunteer in her local community and works hard to invite and share serving opportunities with her family and neighbors.

Amanda holds a master’s degree in sociology from Arizona State University and a bachelor’s degree in human development and family sciences from Brigham Young University. She holds a certificate of participation: Social Impact from the London School of Economics Marshall Institute. She was a child development specialist for Mountainland Head Start before taking time out to play, cook, read, hike, and travel with her five children. Her goal is to help her children understand how they can affect the world and not just how the world affects them.

Chelsey Curtis is an entrepreneur and philanthropy professional committed to driving positive societal change to help all Utahns thrive. With nearly nine years of experience at a prominent family foundation, she oversees the distribution of eight-figure annual contributions to support hundreds of nonprofits across Utah. Chelsey works closely with executive leadership to ensure these investments deliver impactful and sustainable community outcomes.

Chelsey serves on the nonprofit boards of Red Butte Gardens, Ronald McDonald House Charities, and the Utah Valley University Foundation. She is currently completing her Bachelor’s degree in finance at Utah Valley University, where she previously studied culinary arts and hospitality management. Throughout her career, Chelsey has produced a wide range of events, from private gatherings to movie premieres, orchestrating high-profile experiences for corporate clients, celebrities, and nonprofits.

Chelsey’s Brazilian heritage inspires her passion for good food and creating welcoming spaces for gatherings. Chelsey resides in Utah County with her two children and enjoys boxing, playing pickleball, hosting dinner parties, and exploring diverse culinary destinations.
