Job Title: Autism After 21 Utah Development & Fundraising Coordinator

Location: Northern & Central Utah

Hours per week: 10-30 hours per week (flexible)

Dates of Position: June 16, 2025 (anticipated start)

Compensation: $18 - $24 per hour DOE



About Madison House:

 

Madison House Autism Foundation (MHAF) works to address the needs of autistic adults by enabling community collaborations in housing, education, financial planning, medical understanding, and employment opportunities. The Autism After 21 Utah Project (AA21 Utah) is a multi-year pilot project to help Utah’s communities become more neuro-inclusive. This project includes comprehensive statewide community research to help regional working groups address the needs of autistic adults all across the state. Our goal is to develop a collective impact model that can support communities throughout the nation to take on their own evidence-based neuro-inclusive community improvement projects.

 

Summary of Position:

The Development & Fundraising Coordinator will assist MHAF and the AA21 Utah Project with building a network of funders for the project, conducting outreach to community members and organizations, assisting with grant research and writing, and other duties that help the organization achieve its goals. They will work directly with the AA21 Utah team. Interest in or experience with autism is preferable.

 

Qualifications:

  • At least 1 year of experience in nonprofit development, nonprofit outreach, and/or building sponsor relationships

  • Interest in nonprofit development and/or our mission

  • Excellent interpersonal skills

  • Excellent writing skills 

  • Excellent time management skills 

  • Proficient in Google Suite

  • Ability to work both in-person and remotely with staff and potential partners and funders

  • Ability to travel within Utah for occasional meetings

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with legislature or public funding advocacy

 

Duties: 

  • Research potential individual and corporate sponsors

  • Community sponsorship outreach

  • Research and attend local community events to share about our project

  • Research potential grant funders in Utah and nationally

  • Support grant writing and editing

  • Meet with potential sponsors in-person and virtually 

  • Meet with team members virtually

  • Other duties as assigned
