Backed by twelve years’ experience in nonprofit development and 15 in communications, Laura founded Granted Fundraising Consultants in Salt Lake City in 2014. She serves as principal consultant and approaches all work from a nonprofit professional’s insider perspective, gained from previous roles including grant specialist for Girl Scouts of Utah, development & grants manager for Utah Film Center, and festival coordinator/corporate development at Sundance Institute. Laura is passionate about staying abreast of best practices in the fundraising field and obtained her CFRE certification in Nov. 2019. She has served as a board director for Association of Fundraising Professionals Utah Chapter since 2016 and for Pacific Whale Foundation since 2021. She also regularly serves as a grant reviewer, most recently for the National Endowment for the Arts, Utah Division of Arts and Museums, and the Utah State Library Division.
