Speaker Proposal Submission
The Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) Utah Chapter invites dynamic and knowledgeable speakers to submit proposals to present at AFP Utah Chapter’s Fundraising Day 2025. This premier event brings together nonprofit professionals, fundraising experts, and thought leaders to explore cutting-edge strategies, trends, and best practices in philanthropy.
We seek engaging, interactive, and informative sessions that align with AFP Global’s core knowledge domains, provide practical takeaways, and inspire attendees. Presentations should reflect innovation, research-based insights, and diverse perspectives within the fundraising profession. The submission deadline is Friday, March 28, 2025.
Session Formats & Topics
We encourage proposals for the following formats:
- Breakout Sessions – 60-minute interactive presentations or discussions.
- Workshops – Hands-on, skills-based sessions with audience participation.
- Panel Discussions – Engaging conversations with multiple experts on a specific topic.
Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:
- Donor Engagement & Stewardship
- Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Access (IDEA) in Fundraising
- Major Gifts & Planned Giving Strategies
- Storytelling & Ethical Fundraising Communications
- Digital Fundraising & Technology Innovations
- Corporate & Foundation Fundraising Partnerships
- Leadership & Career Growth in Fundraising
- Engaging with and building your Board of Directors or Advisory Board
- Volunteer Management & Engagement
- Activating Low- and Mid-level Donors
Proposal Submission Requirements
Proposals should be submitted here and must include:
- Session Title (concise and engaging)
- Session Description (75 words or less, detailing key takeaways and target audience)
- Speaker Information (name, title, organization, contact email, and professional bio)
- Presentation Format (breakout session, workshop, lightning talk, or panel discussion)
- Room Setup & AV Needs (microphones, projectors, flip charts, etc.)
Evaluation Criteria
Proposals will be evaluated based on the following:
- Relevance & Timeliness – Alignment with fundraising trends and challenges, as well as event theme
- Engagement & Interactivity – Use of case studies, audience participation, and innovative approaches
- Diversity & Inclusion – Representation of diverse voices and perspectives
- Speaker Expertise – Demonstrated knowledge, experience, and credibility in the field
Compensation & Benefits
While the AFP UT Chapter does not offer honorariums for speakers, presenters receive:
- Free registration for Fundraising Day 2025
- Recognition in promotional materials
- Networking opportunities with top fundraising professionals
