Development Manager  

Compensation: $50,000 – $55,000 based on experience. The Park City Community Foundation is proud to offer a comprehensive benefits program to all employees as part of our total compensation package.

Reports to: Corporate Partnerships & Development Director 

The Community Foundation brings together local nonprofits, caring donors, and community leaders to contribute financial resources and innovative ideas to benefit all the people of Park City—now and in the future.  Park City Community Foundation plays a vital role in solving our community’s most challenging problems, and we are looking for a Development Manager to join our mission-driven, growing organization. 

The Development Manager is a new position. This person will join our team of fundraising professionals to support the mission of Park City Community Foundation by connecting caring donors to our impactful work throughout the community. We are excited to welcome a team member who enjoys fundraising and working in a collaborative and team-based culture. 


Individual Giving 

  • Manage a portfolio of individual donors to support the annual fundraising revenue goals by focusing on unrestricted and restricted annual giving. 
  • Secure annual gifts by engaging in direct donor cultivation and annual giving campaign design specifically focused on: 
  • Community Fund  
  • Engage donors making annual gifts of $2,500 to directly support our unrestricted Community Fund.  
  • Develop and implement communication strategies and design campaigns to support donor engagement and retention. 
  • Live PC Give PC 
  • Support our annual community day of giving by focusing on the Community Foundation’s fundraising goal. 
  • Create donor outreach and activate volunteers in support of a successful giving day 
  • Women’s Giving Fund  
  • Primary liaison for Women’s Giving Fund. Steward and engage new members, honorary members, and Wonder Women in our Women’s Giving Fund, a powerful endowment that catalyzes grant-making throughout our community. 
  • Lead quarterly Women’s Giving Fund engagement events with the help of volunteers.  
  • Cultivation: secure new and increased philanthropic support through thoughtful solicitations and donor engagements. 
  • Stewardship: Connect donors and prospects to our organization’s impact and events through in-person donor meetings, email, events, and phone/video calls.  
  • Support the Fundraising team’s ongoing stewardship by attending and staffing events. 

Approximately 60% of time 

Donor Stewardship and Gift Acknowledgment: 

  • Lead donor acknowledgment process to include writing and assigning weekly thank you cards and donor calls.  
  • Work with Development and Database Director to ensure proper gift recognition, acknowledgment, and tracking. 

Approximately 20% of time 

Volunteer Management: 

  • Join the Philanthropy team in staffing the standing Board Development committee and ongoing communications with philanthropy volunteers. 
  • Support the creation and tracking of Board portfolios and Board volunteer donor assignments for our quarterly board meetings. 
  • Live PC Give PC volunteer management. 
  • Secure and manage volunteers to support the Community Foundation giving goals on our annual day of giving. 

Approximately 10% of time 

Grants Management 

  • Maintain grant tracking document support annual grants management process. 
  • Add applications and reports to Foundant and SharePoint as needed.  
  • Assist Corporate Partnerships & Development Director in researching and assigning grant applications. 
  • Write and report for grants as needed. 

Approximately 10% of time 


Preferred Qualifications 

  • Previous fundraising and development experience. 
  • Experience in crafting organizational communications and outreach. 
  • Enjoys donor engagement, communications along with back-office support and work that requires attention to detail and timeliness. 
  • Ability to navigate donor database and donor management systems. 
  • Ability to accomplish projects independently. 
  • Desire to work in a collaborative team environment. 
  • Clear and professional communicator. 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
