JOB DESCRIPTION:
This position is part of an international network of development professionals at 21 locations in the U.S., Mexico and Canada collectively working to support our 100-year-long mission to provide care to children, regardless of their family's ability to pay.
The qualified candidate identifies, cultivates and solicits prospective donors in the Intermountain West region to support the Shriners Children’s Salt Lake City outpatient facility. Nurtures donor relationships throughout the community through regular communication, contact and recognition. Writes and submits grants to foundations, develops and maintains strong relationships with donors, hospital-affiliated Shrine Centers, corporations and the local community. Acts as an external representative in the community and at events on behalf of Shriners Children’s and our amazing mission to care for children. Exercises professional and ethical judgement in the performance of duties. Cooperatively supports the Development team’s efforts to meet and exceed annual goals. Responsible for fulfilling the objectives and goals identified by the Director of Development, Administrator and Development Committee as consistent with those articulated by Shriners Children’s national boards and the Chief Development Officer.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Under the direction of the Director of Development, manages a professional portfolio of grants, coordinates all operations and programs related to the hospital’s annual giving donor program, including the implementation of an annual plan which includes solicitation and stewardship strategies that enhance and expand the hospital’s various donor constituencies; the development of promotional and solicitation materials; and the overall stewardship of grants and annual giving donors.

EDUCATION:
• Bachelor's (Preferred)
EXPERIENCE:
• Fundraising: 3 years (Required: Individual donor work, events, corporate sponsorships, and/or grant experience)
• CRM Experience: 1 year (Preferred)
• Microsoft Office: 1 year (Preferred)
