Job Summary
University Advancement is a rewarding place to work for those motivated to make a lasting impact on the campus, students, and programs at the University of Utah. The Student Success Advancement team at the University of Utah is seeking an innovative fundraising professional to secure funding for the main campus Student Success priorities, with a particular focus on securing funding for merit-based and need-based scholarships.  The desired candidate will have experience in relationship building, portfolio management, annual giving, and donor stewardship. Additionally, the candidate must possess the maturity, wisdom and collaborative skills necessary to gain the trust and confidence of university leadership across various departments.  This position will fundraise for all scholarships and programs that the Student Success Advancement team supports within the following academic units: Financial Aid & Scholarships, Student Affairs, Undergraduate Studies, Graduate Studies, Bennion Center, and Honors College.

Make direct solicitations through face-to-face interactions, cold calls, emails, and grant proposals on behalf of the University. This role requires comfort with frequent unsolicited outreach and the ability to build relationships from initial contact through cultivation to solicitation, ensuring all fundraising efforts remain donor centric.

  • Adhere to University’s prospect management standards, track donor relationships and file contact reports.

  • Modeling the One U mission, collaborating closely with campus partners to maintain a culture of trust with the various departments, centers, and organizations this team supports.
